Our story
The idea behind MyNursery came to life at a turning point in our lives: the birth of our daughter, Louise, 17 years ago. Like many new parents, we faced the daunting challenge of finding a childcare place. Waiting lists, repeated refusals... it quickly became an uphill struggle.
Over the years, we realised we were far from alone. Conversations with friends and other parents consistently echoed the same frustration. That is when the ambition to build a dedicated tool for families, crafted in close collaboration with early childhood professionals, began to take shape.
Our objective was clear: to offer parents an innovative way to explore all childcare options around them—whether on an interactive map or via a streamlined list—in a direct and practical manner. The goal was to cut down refusals, make the search far less stressful, and provide a tangible solution to a challenge faced by countless families.
While official and informal directories existed, none felt genuinely comprehensive or versatile. We then decided to bring together every key contributor across the early childhood sector to support parents throughout their journey and bridge this gap for good.
Our platform does not exist to set providers against one another; it serves one primary purpose: to help parents. Childcare shortages and ongoing regulatory changes often leave families with very few alternatives. MyNursery delivers an essential answer to the growing need for simplicity and accessibility for families looking for reliable solutions, whatever the area.
